all of which puts me in mind of Cornwall and

one of my favourite holiday destinations

a day out in St Ives. . .
and a visit to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, part of Tate St Ives; now, most of us are familiar with Hepworth's work - but the wonderful thing about this museum is that it's set in her house/garden/studio. . .
.
so not only do we see some of her works in stitu. . .

but we also see inside the workings of her studio

the works that were in progress at the time of her death. . .

her tools. . .
her personal effects. . .the works that never were. . . and if you scrabble around on the ground under the sculptures, you can even see this:

that is way cool...you learn so much about an artist when you can see the intimate details of their studio

Say it again, I didn't hear you the first four times.

LOL

Great story and photos. Holes in stone. Who would have thought....?

Peace.

blast - I hate it when blogger does that. . .

she's really into holes. . . she threads some of the holes (in stone or bronze sculptures) with mathematical criss-cross patterns - I'll find some images of those for you (they remind me of your dream catchers)
