playing travellers

whilst in Cornwall, we went to the circus. . . to see a performance of one of the most beautiful productions that I have ever seen, a play called Sorry, by The Footsbarn Travelling Theatre

apparently they travel to all the world's six continents, so when they are next in your neighbourhood - go see them!
wanderlust!
otherness!
diversity!

Lucky you! I clicked those links. This troupe seems to espouse the same principles as Cirque du Sloeil.
(I also read the report on the death of Phillippe Avron.)

it was such a great show - performed in the round, and making the most of the "circus" shape. . . and it was a bilingual performance too, which I hadn't anticipated, but fortunately the children speak French

there were really good sound effects too, lots of wind and rain and at one point someone had an upturned hat atop a long long pole and gently shook it and snow came out. . . ah! it was just so magical, I can't even begin to describe it all

How wonderful. Loved the links (and was also reminded of Cirque du Soleil).
I will certainly look out for a chance to see them!

it was really beautiful, so well crafted with many different strands woven into both the story and the performance

at one point a black crow appeared, flying above our heads - made of out papier mache and feathers and suspended on an invisible string that was tied to a long long pole - so you didn't see the string or the pole but only the bird flying silently around you

later on a white dove appeared in a similar manner

enchanting!
