you know - into a rainbow, and then into a line depending on their size, or grouping them according to how many holes there are, or stacking identical ones into little towers. . .
. . .there are so many ways to sort out buttons, aren't there
the sweetness of doing nothing

[i confess...the only sewing i do is replacing
buttons]
hey planet! good to have you here. . .
. . .I buy gazzilions of buttons, but is there ever the right one to match a lost one? and can I ever find where I put the spares?
One of the few memories I'm pretty sure is mine and not one someone told me--playing with my mothers' jar of buttons.
:-)
It's a good memory.
I'm glad you have that, dearheart
and me too - my mother kept hers in an old Sellotape tin
I still have it (the tin)
Gee--what a perfect place to put YOUR buttons.... :-)
Apparently my mother cut buttons from 'soon to be discarded' clothing. I don't suppose that was odd for her time....
Have I ever done that? *thinking*
I have to admit that in my former life of stitching and sewing handmade items, I used to buy clothes from jumble sales just for the buttons. . . men's worn out city shirts have really lovely pearl buttons
used them (the buttons) to decorate xmas decs
I have cut buttons from clothing...and I have bought buttons I didn't need...
I have used them...but never on Christmas decorations...what a wonderful thought..
I want to know more about how you did that...
I'll get around to that one day, katherine.
(-:
what is it about buttons, eh?
