Childhood living is easy to do
The things you wanted I bought them for you
Graceless lady, you know who I am
You know I can't let you slide through my hands Wild horses, couldn't drag me away Wild wild horses couldn't drag me away
.
I watched you suffer a dull aching pain
Now you decided to show me the same
No sweeping exits or off stage lines
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind Wild horses, couldn't drag me away Wild wild horses couldn't drag me away
.
I know I've dreamed you a sin and a lie
I have my freedom but I don't have much time
Faith has been broken tears must be cried
Let's do some living after we die
Wild horses, couldn't drag me away Wild wild horses We'll ride them someday
.

Very apocalyptic. You can almost hear the hoof thunder. (I write 'hoof thunder' because I can't remember if the plural of 'hoof' is 'hoofs' or 'hooves'. I hope they're not thundering too close to Dave's resting place.

You find the most wonderful photos...

A very good morning to you, ma'am.

And to your sirs.
I do hope you're feeling better, Dave.
And, it's a pleasure to meet you, Christopher.

Welcome to Monday ma'am!! :-)

I've always loved the Stones doing this.
Sue does OK though.

do you know KAZ I'd never heard that song before (my Big Brother wasn't into The Stones, that's my excuse, and the X listened to Midnight Oil, another excuse)(think I might have to broaden my audio range now there are no men in my life)

I think SuBo did good, but I also think I need to listen to the original

(are you sure that you won't join in the Secret Santa. . . won't ask again!)

Mel Happy Monday!

Christopher perhaps it's huffs

oh no, that's me in a bad mood (thundering along with the 4x horsemen)

Dave (or should I call you Mr Google) someday soon, eh

I'm a bit nervous about Secret Santa as I haven't done it before.
I'll do it as long as you give me clear instructions.

ok, imagine that you're still at work, in the staff room, and everyone feels obliged to buy a little something for everyone else, but noone has got oodles of cash and noone wants to receive a bunch of crappy little presents. . .

. . .so, you all get together (or a discrete friendly subset of you do) and arrange a "Secret Santa"

someone puts everyone's names into a hat and you each take out a name

now, providing that noone took out their own name, each of you now only has to buy one present - for the person whose name is on the slip of paper (the Santa part). . .

. . .you might set a price limit, say a fiver or a tenner (depends how good mates you are, I suppose)(in the Boots Here Come The Girls adverts they obviously spend FAR more than a fiver) but the idea is that you each only have one present to buy. . .

. . .when the day comes to exchange the gifts, the exchange is done on an anonymous basis (the Secret part) - but it might be fun to guess who bought what for whom. . .

now, for I,LTV's 2009 Secret Santa Bonanza, obviously we're not going to be buying real gifts

so the task will be to find a virtual one (an image, a link, some prose, anything you can email basically) which you'd like to give or which the recipient would like to receive (well, that bit is debatable!)

and it works thus:

you'll be emailed a name (I do need an email address for you, if you don't mind, otherwise I'll have to work out some sneaky way to let you know who you're finding a gift for) by my e-elf accomplice. . .

you'll have a time limit (instead of a financial one) to find a "gift", which you'll email back to my e-elf accomplice

my e-elf accomplice will present in published form all the gifts with the name of the intended receiver attached, but they will be anonymous. . .

timing to be arranged sometime early-mid December. . .

the e-elf/elves are not to be bribed

by agreeing to participate, you'll be receiving a gift from an anonymous donor which will be yours forevermore. . .

hope it's clear - if not, ask any questions you may have!!

Ooh I was just going to go to bed and I thought oh well just a quick look and ooh! A feast of horses.
Gorgeous!
Especially the last one - is that a photo or a painting?

NO BRIBING THE E-ELF?

....rawr.....

Not even a LITTLE bribe?

Shoot...

OK
As long as I don't really have to imagine that I'm still at work

I, Like The View said...

KAZ the beauty of the internet is that you can imagine whatever you want. . .

YIKES! what a thought

Mel nope, no siree, no siree Bob, no bribing the e-elves

(-;

mig glad you like 'em. . . I think it's a photo, but I might be wrong
