shot when I was wandering around LA, only a few short weeks ago, I must admit I was thinking (somewhat stupidly, in restrospect) it's so hot. . . don't they ever wish it was cooler. . .
I suspect that my chilly is really quite warm by your winter standards (despite how chilly I find it)

None of my business, of course, but what were you doing in LA? They serve the best fried fish in the whole US (except Mel's place) on the end of Santa Monica pier.

a friend of mine is in a tv show about wheelchair dancing and we went over to meet her dance partner. . . that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
I've been to/lived in the east coast and New York, but never to the west coast - thus it was my first time in LA, so it was quite interesting. . .
