melting

and that's just the contents of my freezer. . .
/-:

but a quick look outside reminds me of a poem I'm sure I've shared with you before. . . actually I have! here

I do hope your freezer isn't melting. It's happened to me a couple of times, and necessitates sudden cooking rushes.

I, Like The View said...

it's going to that big broken appliance store in the sky. . .

the top bit (the fridge) (still working) is packed to the gills. . . and the kitchen windowsill has all sorts of food items piled up on it (altho it's not so cold here in London, so I'm wondering if that economy will turn out to be false)

but - what's most irritating - I'd just had a huge grocery delivery (you know, of the panic stock piling kind) to keep the kinder fed (should meteorlogical matters worsen)

I managed to palm some of the better items off on the children's father yesterday. . .

but all my saved spare portions of homemade lasagne and tuna pasta bake (my three choose a very limited diet) have to be binned (as well as the spare turkey) (and the stock I made from the turkey) (I won't bore you with the rest) (*sobs* I try to be so careful with food)

what a waste

and now I have to buy a new fridge freezer. . .

but, at least the roof's not leaking. . . and the boiler hasn't broken. . . and the pipe's haven't burst. . . and noone's tripped or slipped outside and broken any bones. . . and their schools both stayed open. . . and none of them have exams which are being delayed

it could be worse!

Your house contents policy may cover the loss of the contents, anyway.

You could send me a food parcel.

Well, there's an idea--that'd be a good thing if the policy did cover it.

I try not to let stuff in the freezer get past me--but last week it got a good clearing out. *sigh* Year old meat is just a bad plan. LOL

Oh Heavens! I suppose this is the perfect time for a freezer clearout!
But how sad to lose all your lovely homecooking!
Well it's a good poem anyway : )
