I was thinking of offering you some warming

soup this morning but it turns out that soup's not very photogenic. . .
and those tins don't look very appetising, do they? I have a rather lovely soup tureen from my favourite potter in Cornwall, who made this beautiful pot:but that still leaves me needing something yummy to offer you today - while I think about it, would you like a delicious crunchy apple?

green or red?

I need something warm to wrap my hands around. My fingers didn't warm up all day yesterday, as I sat at my desk reading and writing.

Hot soup for Dave, quick. There's probably enough soup in those cans to fill that beautiful pot. That should keep his hands warm while he's writing his breach of promise deposition. (Apples always spell trouble between couples.)

Red apple for me please. Cool and crunchy. A bit of juice dribbling down my chin after the first bite.
Mmmmmmmmmm good.

Thanks.

Now have a peaceful week end.

Red looks as if it should be the best, but I bet green is tastier.

I'm having cullen skink (smoked haddock soup) for lunch today.

That soup tureen is gorgeous but how do you get the ladle in?

I, Like The View said...

that's not the tureen (of which I have no image), KAZ but is made by the same potter

however, if it were a tureen, I'd fill it with a funnel and serve portions with a pipette!

Mel isn't it just. . . she's very good with glazes

Mel half red, half green?

Malc I'm glad you provided the translation for that skunk, I mean skink

man napkin?!

Christopher I didn't know that about apples - not an issue for me currently, as I'm not in a couple

Dave would you like me to knit you a pair of fingerless gloves/mittens? (I made a pair for The Teen, then Teen Too wanted some and now one of his friends has requested a pair!)

Dave said...

I have got a pair of fingerless gloves soemwhere, just not sure where at the moment. I do suffer from cold fingers. It's my only fault.
