(not that time or inspiration
ever stop or start me, you understand)
(you do understand, don't you? thought so!)
.
so, I was stumbling around the net, which is suspended at the end of my fishing pole, and this is what I came up with. . .of course, that would make far more sense (here at least) if the last word in 5. reads "blogger", the first word in 6. reads "punctuation", in 7. substitute the word "logic" for the phrase "train of thought" and 8. reads "another grammatical error!!!" (ho ho ho)

and then I found this, and wondered about the vision (forward thinking, creative vision - not eyesight vision) of the topiarist involved. . .
and this makes me long for sunny spring mornings. . .
and then I found these. . .(*thought about Dave and Vicus briefly**) (**not in reference to "new ideas", you understand***) (***you are so very understanding) and decided it was high time I found something fun to colour in. . .
then I decided to decorate the otherside of the piece of paper with some of these. . .
which reminded me of my favourite ever stickers!

.
simple pleasures, eh
hope you have some
in your day today!

How did you get hold of a photo of my washing line?

oh Dave. . . I thought I'd told you all about the cctv cameras I have around your way. . . no?

(for a small fee, I might be persuaded to part with some of my other "Dave's Life" photos)

No-one would want to see the nude sunbathing pics anyway.

as I was saying, simple pleasures. . .

Thank you, I, for wishing us simple pleasures. Today:

My duck breast at lunch slid off its skewer without making any mess

I had just enough money to buy 3 pots of HaƤgen Dasz Strawberries and Cream ice-cream

A new commenter appeared on my comment thread

A new chiaroscuro post appeared

Someone sent me a photo c.1982 of the very lovely female staff I had then.

Oh yes, and I bought J. a lovely new handbag. Just thought you might like to know.

I, Like The View said...

ooooh - a new handbag! I think we need to see a picture (more than we need to see those of Dave sunbathing in the nude)

sorry to juxtapose those two thoughts

*clears throat*

and you, Christopher, are you a man-bag type of person? or a rucksack chap. . . or perhaps you just have overloaded pockets. . .

my favourite H-D ice cream is the dark chocolate one with bit chocolate slivers (not the Belgium one with shavings) and I also quite like mining the toffee stream in pralines and cream, then eating the pralines(and then I usually put the rest back into the freezer)(not that you need to know about my ice-cream habits)

new commenters are always interesting - do you hope s/he will stay on as a regular? or are you not bothered. . .

blogging is so strange

anyhoo

simple pleasures are what make a mundane life bearable - not that you have one from what I can gather!!

Thank you.
Yes, that does help.
A great deal.

I let the giant teen have at the computer all day till it leaked out his ears..
fingers crossed that the morning will bring the buses..

Handbag: Heyraud, Italian, black leather, not too fussy

Bits and pieces: pockets, always

Commenters: If they're as dependable and wittily articulate as you are, I, I hope they stay for ever.

Happy Wednesday.

The simplest pleasure of the day so far has been washing all over (down to my knees, beyond which I may not bend to) with a new and fluffy flannel, hot water and a new bar of soap.

My pot of hyacinths is in flower and is scenting the room.

The sun is shining on the snow.

It snowed through the sun. And I learnt how to use a thing that fires dummies for dogs to fetch. I believe this will save me a lot of dog fetching.

I like Dave's washing line.
wv; catscap - for cats with cold ears.

We made a snow igloo.

And snowangels, of course.

The forfeited cuppa pressed coffee that was given (GIVEN) to me by himself as I trotted off to work early.......

OH look--coloured pencils and a way cool thingy to colour in.
Ya suppose himself might go for a new handbag.....I meant for me....

Well, for him if he so desires.
AND me! :-)

Ohhhhh.....stickery thingies!

The letters look familiar--I have a postcard addressed with 'em! :-)

Returned home after over a week away. I'll catch up on the posts later. Good to be back. Missed you.

Peace.

I, Like The View said...

man I look forward to hearing about your trip; welcome back!

Mel aren't they just the most fantastic stickery thingies (I was given them for xmas last year, by a very special person!). . .

I'd like to make a snow angel - it keeps trying to snow here, but doesn't settle

would you and he ever have matching bags. . .

mig but do the dogs bring the dummies back to you?! snow and sun must be a sparkling combination

Z that sounds very refreshing! one of my friends gave me a bar of soap for xmas - it's the loveliest bar I've ever had. . . I'll have to ask her where she found it (stupidly, I threw away the wrapper); here's to gorgeous soap and fluffy flanels until you are allowed to bend

the hyacinths sound wonderful

Christopher and I hope you had a happy Wednesday too (since I don't know anything about man-bags, I'll have to look that up)

sorrow I'll keep my fingers crossed for the school bus (mini-quilt sounds fab!)

shot {{you}}

Vicus love and peace, love and peace

Ohhhhhhhh noooooooo. I know all about the 'not bending' stuff. Poor thing.
I hope you learn as quickly as I how to lasso underwears over your feets. (NOT laughin' either!)

The stickery thingies are wayyy cool--and I used to have a thingy that shot dummies but my psychologist insisted I give up the gun.

No puns intended--or maybe they're all intended......

SPADOMAN'S BACK!!!!
(gosh I hope all is well....)

Thanks for fellow-feeling, Mel - worth it though, in the long run.
