pinch, punch

first of the month

"February was named after the Latin term februum, which means "purification", via the purification ritual februa held on February 15 in the old Roman calendar; January and February were the last two months to be added to the Roman calendar, since the Romans originally considered winter a monthless period"one purification ritual I carry out frequently is washing my hands (not so frequently that I'm obsessive about it, you'll be pleased to know), so here's my favourite bar of soap - so favourite in fact that I've never actually used it. . .
.
and as for winter being "monthless" well that doesn't make much sense to me as what season is monthful? here on the south side of the Thames we've woken to a fall of snow - very light, but snow nonetheless; it's still winter

do you have something
so favourite, so special
that you don't use it?

I'm imagining your virgin soap as La Sirène de Mer, but when I google it to make sure it appears to be the name of a restaurant in Montreal. Perhaps you don't go there, either, for fear that the dishes might spoil with eating? Or did you go there on Friday evening?

On the wider question, I'm afraid I'm with Zigs.

Oh gosh....

Lemme see--In the bathroom.....
There's the duckie soaps in the bathtub holdery thingie ON the bathtub that I just can't bare to use. It'd be like a duckie murder and I just can't do it....
And then there's the jar of yellow goopy bath bubbles with the duckie suspended in it--sitting there lookin' all kindsa cute. The thought of robbing the duckie of his yellow environment just makes me sad.
And then there's the punk duckie in his box with his dog collar on....yeah, yeah....I know-a toy robbed of the bathtub! Shame on me....
(you catchin' that there's a few duckie things in the bathroom?!)

There's more, of course.

(don't make me own another room's 'do not use this, you'll be sad' items...LOL)
Maybe February is the month for using 'em?

Oh.
:-(

After a quick look round and a longer period of very deep brow furrowing, No. (Except of course as ziggi and Christopher - that whachamacallit in my head)

(Well unless you count an assortment of christening mugs but really, we don't use them because they're not a lot of use!)

I've been back here three or four times. I look around, but don't see anything I don't use and might be saving.
I won't admit to the mind idea, but I'm sure people have made the assumption that mine is rarely used as well.

Peace.
