for two

not one
when I opened a new box of tea-bags (oh! your fascination with the minutiae of my life, dear reader, is delightful) I discovered this charming little phrase, which was written on the inner lid:

"the mere chink of cups and saucers
tunes the mind to happy repose"

now, substitute the word mug for cups and saucers, add a friend for company, perhaps throw in some freshly baked scones and a dollop or three of strawberry jam and Rodda's clotted cream, and we might be onto a winner!

I can chink...I think...

Probably sound more like a clunk, but I'm good with that, too.

Strawberries....yum....

I think there are some in the fridge...

Yeah, yeah....oh LOOK...a strawberry! LOL

It's a lovely Tuesday and the clunking coffee cups is a warm one, ty.

Since you have opened up a fascinating line of discussion, I should perhaps let you know that I am currently (currantly, Rog?) enjoying Mrs Sainsbury's delightful wholemeal hot cross buns. They are not organic nor are they free from additives, but jolly delicious nevertheless.
