it's just out of view - a little silver vase, which her parents had on their wedding cake apparently; in the vase were some stems of lily-of-the-valley

cup cakes are becoming very popular here as an alternative to the traditional tiered wedding fruit cakes. . .
I think the butterflies were made of sugar icing (the little rosebuds were) - The Teen said that the chocolate cakes were delicious!!
