Very nice photo. Wish I could be there, on a lwan chair, smoking a good cigar with an iced tea. Some conversation with a friend would also be a nice addition. What a beautiful day.
it was the first afternoon, we'd just arrived, I'd left The Teen further up the beach a little earlier on and wandered to one of my fave places to sit in the sun (it was out, on the first day)
the plan was that he'd walk around the cliff path to meet me (seeing as the tide was coming in the beach didn't stretch to the cliffs where I was sitting watching its progress) and I knew his arrival was imminent and that he'd drag me away somewhere else, so stood up to photo the waves from my vantage point
just as I clicked an ENORMOUS wave arrived and I was totally soaked in the splash (only the initial bit of which I've captured in this image) and then I hear my first born's (slightly sarcastic, it has to be said) voice in the background - he'd witnessed the whole thing from the cliff edge
. . .hmmmmmm. . .
. . .well, I suppose you had to be there to find it funny
But my baby don't love nobody
but me, nobody but me
Yes everybody wants my baby
But my baby don't want nobody
but me, that's plain to see!
I'm his sweet Judy
and he is my loving man!
No time to do his duty,
loves me like no other can!
Now when my baby kisses me
upon my rosy cheeks
I just let those kisses be,
don't wash my face for weeks!

Who decided that 'pretty as a picture' was a compliment?
I mean, the image you've shared here is lovely and soothing, but it brought to mind that saying and got me thinking...which is rarely good.
Oh, now I think that's an awesome shot. It's something I'da sat still waiting to capture for HOURS.
k...mighta been my really lousey excuse for beach time--but I'da pulled it out and used it!
WOW that's a great shot! *happy sigh* I can almost hear it.
Indeed.
Splash! Yes, you can almost hear it, can't you?

Peace.
He can take a lawn chair--I'm sitting on the rock and waiting to get wet. LOL
Happy Tuesday to you, ma'am!
Join you all on the rocks?
I'd wait all day if I could get a shot like this. Pure summery happiness : )
