I ♥ Polzeath #1

snaps taken with my the camera on my phone (well, some of the ones I took with my phone)
coffee, cigarettes - what else does a girl need? a view perhaps. . . and this is it, from my funny old family hotel:
now, take a very short walk slightly further down on the cliffs:
then, go down onto the beach (first day) (so yeah, I know it's crooked, but I was excited!) and see the small stream going down the middle of the beach: ooops, hang-on, side tracked for a mo. . . someone (not me, altho I wish I'd thought of it) created a miniature slate Stone Henge:
ok, where were we? oh yes, someone (not me, altho I wish I'd thought of it) made a pebble dam across that little stream that caught the light just beautifully: whilst talking of beautiful light, I saw some wonderful sunsets:
I have far better photos of this on the real camera, but we'll get to those:
sometime later, walking back up the beach in the early evening, that lovely small stream catches the lights some more:

they are all wonderful...
a couple are extra amazing.

the next to last one...with the round water reflections against the horizontal of the horizon...with wonderful colors.

(I noticed you had coffee in a white cup...I am betting there were goobers weren't there??)

katherine.!! the next to last one I took on my very first night. . . I sat on the cliff with the big camera for ages, took scores of photos

then wandered down onto the beach, still clicking away - there is a rock pool around the edge of a big rock, you see, part of the cliff that has separated away at the base, and the colours of the sunset were reflected in the water in the pool - only the tide had just gone out past that part of the beach, so there was more water further down the beach that carried the colour further

eventually I got fed up of putting my camera away in its case and then seeing another spectacular sight and taking it out again, and just wandered along with my phone

only wish I'd had the right kind of lense/filter for the real camera, I don't think the photos will do the sky justice

(nope, no goobers!)

It didn't look like that the rainy/windy/stormy day I was there (a couple of years ago).

shot I'm so glad you are educated. . .

Dave oh, believe me, I have reainy/windy/stormy photos too. . .

you don't go there for the weather, believe me 9even if you come back brown as a button and peeling from the day you didn't put on enough sun cream)

Wonderful pics! The sunset with the half moon sand pool is quite heavenly and I'm so enchanted by the little Stonehenge catching what looks like early morning light so beautifully.

I'm getting so excited about the bigger pictures but the camera phone ones just confirm what they say - it doesn't matter what kind of camera you use, it's what you do with it that counts.

well, you have an open invitation for the NEXT time
