I always preferred A Town Like Alice

I found Pied Piper interesting and Trustee From The Toolroom fascinating. . . but In The Wet was my favourite, I think. . .

. . .but I did love On The Beach, when I first read it as a young teen

Oh heavenly! Those Cornish beaches have really tidy waves don't they. Just rolling in and breaking in just the right places.

Was it Neville Shute who wrote the one about the Aeroplane with metal fatigue and Professor Honey?
