twelve going on. . .

. . .far too old, actually

the other day, a gaggle of teens turned up at I,LTV Towers (what is the collective noun for a group of teenage girls?); they are friends of Mini-Teen. . . they are twelve, going on thirteen and they look like this:
(my thoughts exactly)

now, Mini-Teen is a chip off the old block, but (being the sensible sort) is not in a hurry to grow up. . .

. . .however, seeing the troupe of twelve-going-on-thirteen year olds made me think that perhaps it was time I took her shopping

she hasn't looked like this for a long time:
(and when she did,
she won the fancy dress competition,
I'll have you know)

but, you'll be pleased to know, now she looks like this:
(just like I said,
chip off the old block)

I suppose a 'herd' would sound derogatory and a 'murder' too dark?

OMG

now she thinks you'll think she's a chav!

Nope--I think she's "all that and a bag of chips"!

And be PROUD of that fancy dress win. I've no doubt she's a winner no matter what she opts to wear.

I do hope she enjoys shopping WAY more than I do.
Ugghhh......

Thinkin' that'd be easy peasy!! *laughing*

Oh.......that's IF she wants to go shopping, of course.
