waiting in

"Wait, oh yes wait a minute mister postman Wait, wait mister postman Mister postman look and see If there's a letter in your bag for me I been waiting such a long time Since I heard from that girl of mine There must be some word today From my girlfriend so far away Please mister postman look and see If there's a letter, a letter for me I been standing here waiting mister postman So patiently For just a card or just a letter Saying she's returning home to me So many days you passed me by See the tear standing in my eye You didn't stop to make me feel better By leaving me a card or a letter Please Mr. Postman, look and see If there's a letter, oh yeh for me, I've been waiting, a long long time Since I've heard from that girlfriend of mine. You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute You gotta check it and see, one more time for me Wait Wait Wait Deliver the letter, the sooner the better

"Wait!" (your choice of The Beatles or The Carpenters)

well, that's true to an extent (the waiting bit) (three cards from LA still haven't turned up) but I'm actually waiting for my new red coffee machine (all machinerys are like cars to me - best described by the colour of the paint job)

(shame it's not that one really,
that's much nicer than mine)

ho hum

while we're waiting, if you're bored, I could always tell you about my new piece of knitting! anyone interested? no, thought not. . .

Appliances are suppose to match?

Uh oh.

Very pretty machine.
It makes coffee, right?
Frankly, I'm all about the coffee..but I don't think that's a well kept secret.

HOW you've managed without a machine is beyond my comprehension.
I panic the minute one breaks--drag out the emergency maker and immediately get in the car to get the deal done.
Oh gosh...and there's an emergency, emergency (!!) maker JUST in case.
No. No instant. No capsules. Ick. *shudder*

I like the Marvelettes version of Mr. Postman.

I never understood knitting. Some look so cheesy, others so rich. What makes the difference? The wool? The technique? I'm a weaver myself. but don't know how to knit or what the different styles and sizes of knitting needles are for.

Nice machine. It is good to have a good quality espresso machine. The usual home variety have planned obsolescence built right into them and don't last. A story sometime about when we were in the business and had a large commercial one in our living room.

Peace.

What you knitting then? Please tell? (Knowing you, it'll be something wonderful and amazing)
I daren't have a coffee machine. There's just no room for one and it would be awful if I didn't use it. It takes me ages to make with the caffetiere and the heated, whisked milk but it's still pretty good.
(besides, what would I do with my six different sized caffetieres if I had a machine?)

since you're all so keen on the knitting, I'll obviously have to spill the beans on that one!

and, as for the machine, it's a little plasticy (I went for the cheapest version, not a replacement of the one that X had bought all those years ago)(which was the Rolls Royce of coffee machines, it turns out) but it makes a good cup of coffee

in fact, an excellent cup of coffee
