you know when you have a

tune* going around in your head
and you can't pinpoint it?
and then you remember!

.
(*I think it was because Mel was talking about violins) (even tho I was humming the horn melody)
.
people, I bring you the Finale from the Fifth Symphony by Sibelius
.
(at last a distraction from the cat food maggots)

Have a holly jolly Christmas
It's the best time of the year
I don't know if there'll be snow
But have a cup of cheer

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And when you walk down the street
Say hello to friends you know
and everyone you meet

Oh, the mistletoe hung where you can see
Somebody waits for you, kiss her once for me

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And in case you didn't here,
Oh, by golly have a holly jolly Christmas this year!

"the star which burns twice as bright only lasts half as long" ????

Is that true?

I, Like The View said...

shot dunno - it's on a t-shirt I own. . .

. . .maybe a new year's objective should be to brush up on my interstellar physics

come to think about it tho, at the time that a star is dying it does burn very brightly before it turns into a black hole

(white dwarf. . . star. . . red giant. . .black hole)(I think)(I never did physics, see, but I did have a passing aquaintance with Patrick Moore once upon a time)

Dave so long, farewell etc etc

Mel thank goodness I don't know the tune to that!

mig it's one of those tunes which flows around in my head and most of the time I can't remember what it is

glad you liked it

dinah blogger keeps eating my comments too!!!!

thanks for the link

shot I think the horror would be having it going around in my head. . .

. . .it's kind of a cool image, eh
