sadly, I didn't have a handy box of tissues
even worse, I hadn't bothered taking off the day's eye make-up
but sometimes you're just going to sob your heart out, aren't you? I mean even if I was still married, even if I was happily married, there would be days when it all got on top of me and it all became too much and I'd just dissolve into floods of tears and make my own personal contribution to rising sea levels. . . I wonder if the Thames Barrier works backwards. . .

I have no idea to what these references to popular culture refer.
I won't waste your time with an explanation

Musta been something in the air last evening. I found myself in the same solution.

I figure there'll be those moments. I'd prefer they be brief and fleeting....

Oh ((((((((((((((( I ))))))))))))))
It does happen to most of us. Like Mel says, I hope it's brief (and clears the tubes a bit :)
And (((((((((((Mel))))))))))) too.

just another shoulder here.
Haven't been crying more like knocking my head on the wall....
Sending love...
Life is like an onion. You peel it away, a layer at a time, and sometimes you weep.
This is not my saying, yet I don't know who the author is. I like it and it seems to fit all I can say about your crying this day. As the others, I have days like this as well. I guess right now I'm between onion skins or the great onion of life isn't irritating my tears. I don't know if your tears make you feel bad, maybe they don't. Mine don't always make me feel poorly. Sometimes they are a cleanse that I am in dire need of.
So, peace to you and all you hold dear.
man am liking the onion analogy

mig my tubes are now clear
thanks for the lovely hug, dear mig
Mel when I'm not in them I figure those moments are a marker of how I'm doing - mental healtwise, I mean - so altho they are awful, they don't drag me down like they used to. . .
