having promised myself that I wasn't going to

even think about it, let alone write about it I then started thinking about it, so I guess that's why I'm writing about it (it's up to you whether you read about it)
.

I was thinking about singing, you see, because I heard that Paulo Nutinni (or whatever he's called) song again, which reminded me (somehow) of Windmills of My Mind (a big leap for you, possibly, but only a small stretch for me) and that made me think of blogging, which made me think about how I have a totally different attitude to it now than I did all that while ago whenever it was I first started (much longer than my profile view would suggest, given all the false starts I had with the medium) and that's really because I have a totally different attitude to lots of things because (I was thinking) it's a little like coastal erosion and a beach being reshaped over and over with shifting sands and dunes and various tides and always being eaten away around the edges and then there's rising sea levels, so altho you're disappearing you're also being covered up (I won't bore you with the rest, but you can probably imagine how it went) and that's a little like life and time really (which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place) (reference to life and time) (seeing as today/yesterday seem to be a point of reflection and everyone's doing it and I never really like doing what everyone is doing, so I was trying to avoid it, but it's inevitable and difficult to do and I fell into my own trap of trying not to but ending up doing it anyway) (and no, I haven't had anything to drink, it's just that I wasn't going to do this and now I am so I might as well cover the whole shebang)
.
anyhoo

.
enough of that. . . where was I? oh! I know. . . here:

Time from The Prophet "And an astronomer said, 'Master, what of Time?' And he answered:"You would measure time the measureless and the immeasurable. You would adjust your conduct and even direct the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons. Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch its flowing. "Yet the timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness, And knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream. And that that which sings and contemplates in you is still dwelling within the bounds of that first moment which scattered the stars into space.
"Who among you does not feel that his power to love is boundless? And yet who does not feel that very love, though boundless, encompassed within the centre of his being, and moving not from love thought to love thought, nor from love deeds to other love deeds? And is not time even as love is, undivided and paceless? But if in you thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons, And let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing."

(amazing how you can go from sand grains in a hourglass to stars in a universe in a hop and a skip and not even needing a jump, eh) (actually, it's not that amazing really. . .) (his words don't make as much sense to me as the one about children, but there you go) (or there I do) (and now you can see how it all fits in with Windmills of My Mind) (which leads up nicely onto Mr Nuttini) (or whatever he's called) (and however it's spelt)

Well, I'm glad you did!

And I'm particularly fond of his one about children as well......which reminds me to remind you that you have LOVE.
Plenty to give and plenty received.

k....I know you're talking 'romantic love'--just sayin'....

I say, "From the ridiculous to the sublime is but a short leap."

Time is timeless.

Our friend Mel has some wise things to say about what the blog is for her. I have never known your blog other than what it is these days, (relatively new here), it's great to me. I don't even try to understand it and it's still great.

Peace.

Sometimes I have to make the odd leap - your imagination is boundless. But I love to follow, however slowly :)
