tea towels: not the most exciting thing

in the world, you'd think. . .

. . .but I have some wonderful ones, purely on the basis that if you're going to be washing the dishes it might as well be a joyous and artistic experience, you understand

and with that thought in mind when I came across Julie Haslam's Domestic Bliss, when she first launched it in 2003, I was very happy (I lead a simple life, it doesn't take much to make me happy); I also have to say that I've been drying dishes for the past seven years with the tea-towels I purchased from Julie, and they are still going strong and I have done a lot of washing-up in my time! (in fact, I really like washing-up. . . I was always the person first to tackle it on a Sunday evening at uni. . .) (partly because I find a clean sink very satisfying) (and yes, I need to examine my life and make some adjustments. . .)

and when I looked thru the other items on Julie's site I was wondering if I had this in my kitchen, would it make the ironing more fun?

the jury's still out on that verdict. . .
